MESSAGE FROM THE UNIVERSITY PRESIDENT
Greetings and welcome to the University of Southern Philippines Foundation!
USPF is immensely grateful to celebrate today with all of you after more than two years since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and with the unprecedented challenges of the new normal. Indeed, USPF continues to thrive amidst difficult times, thanks significantly to the unwavering support of our students and their families, our alumni, our partners and benefactors, our employees, and every single member of the USPian community.
“USPF shall provide hope for its students to transform their lives for the better.” (Engr. Agustin Jereza)
Truly, our gratitude to our dear students and their parents knows no bounds. Thank you for allowing us to continue the legacy of our founder, Engr. Agustin Jereza, to provide the youth with an opportunity to transform their lives and help them build better futures to also improve the quality of life of their families and communities. USPF stays committed to providing top quality, values-imbued education to our students so that they grow and flourish into responsible and productive citizens of the country instilled with the core values of professionalism, integrity, excellence, and social responsibility.
As we move forward, staying true to our vision and mission, USPF ensures that the provision of quality education is maximized and unhampered even with an ongoing health pandemic. Minimum health and safety standards are in place, coupled with the precautionary measures observed by everyone inside the campuses. USPF is confident of the updated health and safety systems and protocols that we have instituted to strike a balance between safety and learning in the new normal. Still, we remind each and everyone in the USPian community that keeping ourselves and those around us healthy and safe at all times is a shared responsibility. To share Kofi Annan’s words, “In an age of interdependence, global citizenship - based on trust and sense of shared responsibility - is a crucial pillar of progress.”
“Trust the past to God’s mercy, the present to God’s love, and the future to God’s providence.” (St Augustine)
The way things are in the present make the near and far future unpredictable and there are so many things and circumstances beyond our control. Even so, USPF remains hopeful. We keep the faith and continue to trust God's plans and His perfect timing as we continue pushing onward with extraordinary drive and determination to achieve our every objective as an educational institution transforming lives and contributing to nation-building. And through the intercession of our university patron, St. Augustine, we claim an abundance of blessings and ceaseless protection for our USPF family throughout the year.
Looking forward to our best year yet,
